X SAT Fze (www.xsatco.com) is a United Arab Emirates based company registered in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai in August 2002. Besides the UAE, X SAT maintains offices in (Dubai), Georgia (USA) and Limassol (Republic of Cyprus) where it manages sales in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, CIS and the Americas.
X SAT’s mission is to provide affordable telecommunication services to companies, government agencies and individuals located and operating in remote areas. Main activities include provisioning of Mobile Satellite Services (Thuraya/Inmarsat/Iridium), telecommunication services based on Voice over Internet Protocol (www.x2dial.com) and Data Centre/Disaster Recovery Centre (www.cyprusdatacentre.com).
X SAT became one of Thuraya Satellite Telecommunications Company’s International Service Provider in December 2002. The main advantage of the Thuraya phone is that it can be used in a GSM network (Voice and GmPRS), yet links automatically to satellite mode once outside the GSM service area, giving the subscribers the flexibility of enjoying seamless and uninterrupted connectivity. Thuraya's specially designed accessories allow users to access Thuraya's satellite services in indoor surroundings, cars and boats.
In April 2006, X SAT became a Virtual Distribution Partner for Inmarsat BGAN Products and services. BGAN targets mobile users who need reliable access when working in locations where the telecoms networks are poor or non-existent. The Key benefits include global coverage, simultaneous voice and broadband data, highly portable and totally flexible solutions.
In addition, confirming its lead in this industry, in August 2007 XSAT was granted one of the few master distributorships for the all new SABRE AddValue BGAN.
In order to satisfy a growing demand for Iridium phones especially in the United States , X SAT has expanded its product line and has started selling Iridium satellite phones. The Iridium system is a satellite-based, wireless personal communication network providing robust suite of voice and data services. XSAT has also developed a series of high end dockers for the Iridium phone with RJ11 telephony connectivity.
In 2005 the company commenced operations in the area of Internet Telephony by partnering with Skype. In 2007 X SAT launched a new VoIP portal (www.X2dial.com) , which is ideal for supporting a wide range of customers from those with traditional telephony environments to leading edge organizations with IP phones and/or voice enabled PCs. X2Dial offers a variety of services and customized plans to suit all requirements.
Recognizing the challenges that most organizations face today in particular in regards of the cost for IT infrastructure, reliability and availability of network/bandwidth, hardware and power, security and in-house human expertise, in 2007 X SAT built its own data centre, strategically located in Cyprus (European Union). From this state-of-the-art facility, X SAT provides IT services including web hosting, co-location, application hosting and management, data disaster recovery, business continuity, IT security consulting, remotely managed IT services and many others services that allow an organization to completely outsource its IT needs to X SAT.
